Once again PM MODI has brought laurels to India, time and again proving his worth at the international level. This time he has been declared TIME magazine’sPERSON OF THE YEAR” Reader’s Poll Award.

The result came after the poll ended on Sunday. PM MODI won by 18% of the yes votes through that time. He won this award by defeating many renown politicians and artists. Thus becoming the most influential person of the year 2016. The magazine’s editors decide the final Person of the Year, but poll results provide a look at how the world sees these figures.

The crux of the matter is that, PM Modi was placed well ahead from his closest competitor including Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Julian Assange, who all received 7% of the “yes” vote. PM Modi was also far ahead of other prominent figures of this year, like Mark Zuckerberg(2%) and Hillary Clinton(4%).

This is the 2nd time that Modi has won this poll; the first time being in the year 2014(16 percent of yes votes).

Every year, TIME selects the most influential person of the year, noting, for better or for worse, the person or group of people who have had the largest global impact over the past 12 months. In partnership with Opentopic and IBM’s Watson this year, TIME editors were also able to see how candidates were influential on the Internet.

The US Publication always bestows this title to the influential person of the year. And the PM has been the contender for 4 years in a row.

The rest of the list will be revealed on Dec 7.

It is indeed a brilliant achievement and we are proud of Narendra Modi! Do share your messages for him in our comments section below.
